I hear that UB40 will be entertaining us on Saturday night. Wow and there'll be some car racing going on as well!

Thought Bono was supposed to have a bad back , and cancelled all touring for the present , one can only hope ,certainly not my cup of tea , pint of lager or glass of lemonade

Bah, the wrappers won't wrap my car now. Too many sicknesses and holidays and they don't have time. Maybe I'll cheer myself up with a GS rear bumper and some sideskirts :)

Car at Emblem, I may have actual gears to use at Le Mans now...

Lewis, whats up with your gears, new clutch?

Linkage adjustment i reckon , one must remember with the manuals its crucial to keep on top of the linkage adjustment, otherwise it gets notchy from 1st to 2nd especially when cold

My car has done 68k which is possibly the leggiest manual. Weve got to a point now where the linkage can't be adjusted anymore as it just goes straight back into graunchiness so I'm having all the linkage done, cables and ends. 2nd is very hard to get into now and at high revs from second to third... well that doesn't work either. Hopefully this will cure the problem. If not, then the synchros have gone on 2nd/3rd and I need a new gearbox, but not by Thursday! Car is still driveable with the box as is, but a lot of the pleasure is taken away.

AndyK - yes, just GS front bumper, couldn't source a rear in time for the Modena trip. It will all come later now the car is staying for the foreseeable future.

Biggest problem now is a cracked oil pipe which miraculously happened on my drive to Emblem! A few more miles or an extra trip somewhere else and the car would have either been on fire or had an empty engine, neither are good thoughts. The guys lifted the car to find it covered in oil and the part is not showing as available in the UK. Race against time now as I'm supposed to be in a tunnel on Friday afternoon...

It's with the experts and they've never let me down yet so fingers/toes/eyes crossed! If not, I will be in the Aston. There are worse things in life :)

What's everyone taking, Masers all?

Yep, all Masser Lewis, David, a guy coming with me, is bringing a Corvette C6, so it will be nice to offload the cornering jokes at him.
