That’s great no problem, I reckon at least 6-7 people on here will have one, two who’ll be cash buyers, and depending on the price, there could be more. Let’s draw a line from 12 months after the first U.K. delivery. If no member owns one by then, I’ll send you a grand, if by then a forum member has one, I know I can trust you to reciprocate.
I placed a deposit today at Maserati Egham, so that's one order from.here (I was 4th person I think at the dealer). First cars coming H2 next year but more likely could be 2022. Only 300 units being produced next year to cover global demand, with about 30 coming to UK. This isn't a mass produced car so residuals will be very strong for years I think (hope). I believe they are using this car as a way of relaunching a bit like the 8c was for Alfa and will recoup their investment on the other many models using the same tech.
Apparently we get to visit the factory next year in Q2 and spec the car and drive one on the test track.. I won't hold my breath on this but sounds a nice extra.

Impressive, and maybe in a few years I will see this at Autofficina!…

From Goodwood.Com:

To UK spec with carbon brakes, the MC20 will cost £187,230 on the road – or £20k more than the McLaren GT which Maserati has set its sights on, along with the Lamborghini Huracan.

See that I don't get...Why it the McLaren is in its sights is it 20k more....Surely 5k less would be better. Out if the ones you have mentioned Dicky the MC20 would still be my choice though.

Maclaren and Ferrari expect you to option up and add a another big chunk to the cost. I don't think it will be possible to spend another £30k on this car as the options won't be there.

I’m curious - when you place a deposit, are you essentially just getting your name on the production list? so you don’t yet have to spec the car or make any decisions about the finer details?

Yes you are getting on waiting list for a particular dealer. Later on they pitch their orders to Maserati and try to get best allocation they can. Can't place order until Maserati have finalised specs and options which will be next year.

They also started a new personalisation programme where you can pretty much do anything! Little like McLaren MSO

I guess I was staying you have to spend £50k on options for a Ferrari standard. If you go bespoke you can double that but most don't. With Mas I think the options will be a lot fewer so a good spec car will be close to list

Looks and sounds pretty good to me on the close ups...but so should most cars in this price region.

I like it and sounds like year 1 productions will ensure rarity

Interesting review.
Only thing wrong with it is that it needs a ‘bodykit’ to make it look better. WTF?

Ok after U.K. delivery to first customers.
:love6:
Ok Dicky you’re on.
That’s gonna be one very expensive car and deep pockets will be required.....as well as some finger crossing on residuals.
No Deal is distinctly possible...£ tanks more (€becomes more expensive) and then there’ll be an additional 10% import tax from the EU on vehicles.......so there’s another close to £20k (in taxes) by estimates.
Gotta wonder too if it’s worth buying as the Uk could be in the 8th wave by then....

Not surprised UK prices haven’t been announced-given all the uncertainty.

Only 30 cars coming to UK in 2021. Long waiting list likely so I think resale values will be good for a year or two.

My local prices will be sent to me on Monday, but, if I understand correctly, in the UK the MC20 will be more than a Huracan?

If so, screw brand loyalty. The Huracan is unbeatable, sorted, nuts and has German reliability. The mc20 would need to cost 15 to 20% less to make sense to me.
Yes but sadly if you drive a Huracan the problem lies in two key areas:

  1. All the bits for Huracans are built in VAG’s Slovakian mega-factory and assembled like a Lego kit when it gets to Italy.
  2. If you drive one it is automatically assumed you are on the way to the next YouTube sensation as that guy who can’t drive a Lamborghini in a straight line on a London street without crashing into a tree.
I will add, however, that the latest RWD only one has some appeal...
