Just watched it! Solid review! Is Andy on this forum, the GT owner in that review? He’s just put a video on YouTube about a granturismo if anyone is interested
You can definitely tell the influence, its not a bad thing at all imo its a nice change that he’s actually focusing on the cars and not a vlogger or clickbaitytype deal. This JayEmm chap has something of a young Clarkson in the way he speaks.
Some interesting comments - his conversations with owners and the Maserati specialists suggested that the Granturismo is just as problematic as the models before - 3200 and 4200.
maybe I have been lucky... and I hope this trend continues, but having had 4 different ones, they were more reliable than the Mercs and BMWs I have had?
Also, based on the feedback and comments on this forum, most of us all seem to have trouble free cars (well apart from the battery related false alerts).
well, I think it will be a problem if one believes that the car could be bought for 20k and with a maintenance cost like a 20k car.... then the future owner would probably end up with a nasty surprise when the car is not maintained properly.
what are all your experience on the reliability of your Granturismo?
And I think we all know and agree that the subframes rust badly, so you need to get them descaled and properly treated with Dinitrol or similar or else your GT or QPV will start to rot out at a surprisingly young age and low miles. Always check prior to purchase!
Starting to happen as they get older and some members have repaired or changed them.so did this not effect the Gransport ? Don't hear of it happening to this model.
The car in the vid does look well used and rather tired IMO.
