I've been busy this weekend - garage content

As some of you may know, I recently moved. All boxes are now unpacked but the garage had become a dumping ground, so I set about tidying it up a bit. Not only that but the GT-S has had to live outside since we got here and has suffered from being covered in bits of tree for the last few weeks. So below are some pics of what I did this weekend....

I'm not sure how to put the pics in the right order. But the way they should be is, the "before" shot of the garage with the Lotus in it, although it's actually the Left one and the "after" pic is actually the Right one, and then there should be pics of the Maserati's new home, closed, open and then after the car was washed with it's cover on as it's not going to be used for a few weeks.

Not a bad way to spend a couple of days, s'pose I ought to spend some time with the Mrs now...

Adam - not half a funny as people's faces when they ask what/who lives in the tent and I show them. :)

Andy - not my S1 on PH, it'll be with me longer than the maser!

Dan, that is actually a very good idea as tents are breathable, so its better than putting it in the garage.....besides, that's the sort of nut job thing I would do.

And lets face it no thief would ever think someone would store a GT in there.

I feel additional camouflage being added....some 3/4/5/6/ seven shades of green....then a 20-30 branches to add to the effect........:)

Actually not wishing to stress dan out but i used to cover my Bike in an Oxford all weather cover ..one morning a couple of stocky guys in black bomber jackets parked a low loader with hoist right next to my bike and cover at 2am in the morning.
It was fortunate that the next door neighbour was coming off shift and arrived as they were removing the cover to see what was under there.
They did a smart hop into the truck and pegged it!
The next day i bought a ground anchor and a £120 Heavy duty chain.
I have no doubt though that if they wanted the bike they could and would (given enough time) circumvent those security features as well. Cause theives are complete and utter Barstewards!!!
I also wonder if Dan you have agreed values on your car just in case an uninsured driver does a nasty.
I thought these vermin were a thing of the past with all the number plate recognition but as a member found out recently...they are still prevelant..Another set of utter barstewards

Does the GT have any anti hijack provisions?
I know my SL500 locked the doors when i got over 5mph but the maserati does not even centrally lock the doors when i manually lock my door from inside.
Its a bad oversight as this car hijacking is actually become more prevelant than stealing keys as the cars running when they disposses the driver of the car and then have a clean getwaway as the owner will have to get to a phone before she/he can report it.

It is a standard feature on the QP, so would imaging the same on the GT...

Greetings from Turkey!

Yep, the doors lock over 5mph and if it moves without me in it I get a phone call and can instruct them to shut the car down the next time it comes to a stand still - I like that feature :)

Glad you all approve of my high security tent!

......why do people build garages that are so small??!! My 3200 has to live in the underground car park at the office or under a waterprooof cover at home when I do use it because it won't fit in my garage....I expect the 2 bikes in the garage have something to do with it as well :)

Cobra Navtrac I think it's called, came as standard with the car.

It has a little fob that I keep in my wallet, I don't know if it's a dealer specific thing or not as a mate of mine that bought his Bentleys from the same dealer has the exact same thing.
