... and deferred to 1st weekend in July 2021.

Let the battle with the ferry providers commence!

Just got the email :(
Booked as a package through Travel destinations. They haven't actually offered deposits back, which I find weird.... Had hotels booked before and after it unpaid and cancel-able, can get rid of them.
**** times.
Thing is a, really think that travel will be open again by late June (ie hotels, flights ferries) if not then def by school holidays in July... There'll be too much economic pressure not to.

Inevitable really. Even if travel is open, I think I will stay put until late summer at least.

A lot of Holiday companies that should be making refunds are offering credit notes for rebooking, as they manage their cash flow.

That's the announcement that came out last May ... Fingers crossed it still goes ahead in July this year.

Oof!

Anyone care to hazard a guess for what this means for actual LM? Although the UK is doing a good job vaccinating people, the rest of Europe is a way behind.

2020 cancelled until 2021 but talking to a friend who lives in france take up on vaccine is very low with some 60% suggesting they won't take it - that doesn't bode well for getting it under control quickly so will need to keep an eye out for announcements

I've heard unofficially that they are getting the Yellow Vests up to speed and vaccinations to take place on every roundabout in France.

Have you read that correctly? It says postponed to July 2021 from 2020, which was announced last year.
You're right Sparts. Badly drafted and no date. Why the h3ll these guys don't put dates on announcements baffles me. It says:

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, Peter Auto and the Automobile Club de l’Ouest have decided to postpone the tenth edition of Le Mans Classic to July 1-2-3-4, 2021.

It is quite likely that it'll be cancelled again and put off until next, but that's not what it says there. They're currently just kicking the can down the road.

It'll probably end up being a case of you won't be let in without a vaccine passport....

It will be hard getting a vaccine passport for Dem so someone needs to take control of that now chaps.
