Issues with CD Player / Ipod / Jukebox

Recently picked up my new to me, 2012 med blue Granturismo and im loving it. As ever just a few little niggles to try and work out and trying to establish if its user error or if there is an issue.

My CD player currently wont take in any CD's, it will take the CD to read the disc and then within the next 5 seconds will spit it back out - i initially thought that it could be maybe the CD i was using but has done this to every CD ive tried (all audio CD's not MP3 CD's). I cant even access the CD area as a source, its grayed out (not sure if that happens when there isn't a CD in the player).

I have also cleared the jukebox, but this has now done the same as the CD and grayed itself out.

So my question is, has anyone experienced this and what was the solution, or has anyone got any tips?

IMPORTANT NOTE: The current battery is not correct and needs replacing which will happen in 2 weeks. So if its a case of these issues come about through lack of Battery power etc then this should be sorted shortly.

Not heard of that one before and it is highly unlikely to be battery related. CD doesn’t show up on source if there’s no CD in the drive. Sorry I can’t be of more help. A full reset may work; disconnect the negative terminal for an hour, remember to drop your windows and leave the boot slightly open.

Thanks Richard, hopefully the Batt change over in 2 weeks will sort it then .... loving the car BTW!

It won’t be the battery but a reset may work.

CD lens cleaner would be a good place to start.

I can imagine the Jukebox will be greyed if there's no media on it.

As a 2012 it has USB, yes? So copy some stuff from a USB stick onto the Jukebox?

yes good point Catman will try and get that on there also to see if there is an improvement

Make sure that they are CD. Mine won't recognize DVD's
