Is your car a keeper

I've had a GS for two years and love it. Can't think of anything that I could replace it with the same spread of abilities, charisma etc. The only bugbear is reports of cracking wishbones and hubs corrodes confidence and is absolutely not what you expect (or need) from any car, never mind a heavy high performance one.

M

GranSports are definitely a keeper. I would probably still have mine (well, my last one) if fuel prices hadn't gone stupid for a while and I hadn't suffered annoying failures like, erm, a cracked wishbone. My 4C is probably a keeper, although at some point I will need something to fund the second hand Stradale.

My Gransport is definitely a keeper. Have spent a lot of money making it perfect (full respray, exhaust system etc). Would love to fully restore the interior to brand new but its not that bad as it is... Cant wait for around March time to get her out the garage!

Agreed, days like today (in the south) are glorious and well worth taking the car out for a spin. In fact I feel like getting into hairdresser mode and taking the MX5 out for a roof down blast!

Had mine out on Friday and today....on a nice crisp day like today, it's got to be had out. Lots of admiring looks today as I drove the wife into town. I didn't think I'd ever be a 'poser' but I do rather enjoy it when out in the GS!

As for the GS being a keeper, at this moment I'd like to think I'll hold onto her for a long while....BUT....I do hanker after a Stradale (or maybe into Fez territory) at some point, and it all depends on funds whether it's soon or a few years. Either way, it's a joy driving the GS and for the money, nothing else comes in relatively close...

I've had 3 Mk1 MX5s over the years , one of the most fun cars I've ever owned

I'd take the rear lights and hood vents but prefer the stance of the GS and the MCV with the splitter and spoiler works for me.

Apologies for butting in on this thread (sadly I am still sans Maser at present,) but I am utterly mesmerised by your '69 Ghibli in your avatar pic... now that is one car I would most certainly keep!

:)

I might be persuaded to part with it for the right car - Barrie's for instance... All mine is missing is the front cooling seats. Work on Barrie to part with his, and I'll sell mine to you mate.

You mean this one?

That is very nice - what colour is Palladio (Met Grey) looks quite dark there,

Photographed from just about the right angle/location as well!!

It goes dark grey at night and a metallic gunmetal in bright sunlight. Plus it is benefitting from a lot of Carnuba

I googled pictures of " the colour" - certainly a full range of hues - dont usually like Grey but that is very nice!

Seems most Maserati colours provide a different perspective depending on the light.

Thanks, goes well with the beige leather. I am a bit biased as the FF is grey and beige.

Treat us with another pic of the FF please, Barrie. I love that car as you know - my offer for it remains, even though you've been piling the mileage on!

The trouble is I just love driving the FF so that it is now 7 1/2 months old and done 10,000 plus miles. I'll be realistic I know you'll have to revise your offer...........downwards.

Ok, so unlike most on here I do like my 3200AC - a lot - but i don't love it and it is not a keeper. Have had it for 3 years and it is probably time to shift it soon...

My Shamal is definitely a keeper. Everytime I head out to the garage and this very automobile, it brings a special joy to my heart and I feel almost certain we will never part.
I have other dream cars as well, but also many other priorities in life. And that is why I feel very fortunate to have at least one of my true dream cars already in my possession. Some of the others are far out of financial range anyway.
