Is the 4200 SPYDER a hairdressers or girls car?

I have been getting some feedback from people i meet in my line of work (Sports photographer) and there synopsis may be based on fact.
Apparently most people think that the 4200 GT Spyder is a bit of a girl’s car and maybe even a hairdresser’s car to boot!
I get a lot of girls admiring the car and almost as many guys, but the girls all seem to think the car is a bit girly shaped and quite a few of the guys agree.
My car is Azzurro argentina coloured and maybe that and the light beige interior is heading the way of hairdresser?
I argue that the car is a 4.2 V8 capable of 175mph and potentially making most hairdressers pee there pants and most girls...wet there pants....? But they generally still think it’s a bit feminine!
I would love to know what you all think of your cars and whether you consider any of these girly opinions to be potentially accurate.
I have to admit that the first owner of my car and hence the "stylist" of the “options” was in fact a girl!!
……….So they may have a point.

He He....Perhaps, but i am going to have to seriously macho up if this is the feedback i am going to get!!(time to roll up my sleeves and start lifting weights...How much does a pint weight anyway? LOL!)
I must admit i am being a bit careful with it until the new boots are fitted as those Fullrun budget tyres are dangerous!!

God i'll get slated for this;) like to think i know these cars quite well , so i know only too well there performance capabilities and how manly the stats are , but ive always had the feeling that the MX5 was a girlie car , and the 4200 spider to me altho larger has very similar lines from the side , so any thing added, to macho it up a bit in my mind would be positive , ie gransport bumpers and skirts , that exactly what i did to my 4200 , but there again doing the best part of 0-60 in 4.7 secs with the wind in your hair isnt that girlie to be honest

The spyder is a beautiful car whatever anyone else tells you. One of our members Banana would probably club you over the head if you were to call his car girlie. Whoever tells you that take them around the block with the traction control off and the foot to the floor and I think you will find the only thing girlie is their screams of let me out of here.Long Live Maserati

I dont' think it's a Girls car either...Loz...MX5...:hang:

Look, all you need to do is get in touch with your feminine side...side down when you have a wee...I do. Or is that age.

Gentlemen,I am in complete agreement that the MX5 is definatly a girly car as is the MGF and the Z3/Z4 etc.
This is why i bought a maserati, because of its looks and its performance (and of course the beautiful looking engine and my street cred!).
Now, when not directing girlies into looking under the "hood" at the un-girly engine,i am in fact singing its praises as a high octane, full power, all out macho man accessory for the discerning hoodlum!!.
They just look at me with a slighlty raised eyebrow and state "girls car!" LOL.
I am going to paint it with some flames!!!

Relax. It can't be a hairdresser's car.

Hairdressers cars have to be small. That's the Law. Spitfires and the like are hairdresser's cars.

You're safe.

My ex took the S21YDR for a spin the other day and declared it above and beyond the Mercedes SL500 in comfort and drivability and performance.
She never liked the SL although i hate to admit the build quality was superb.
It was a 2005 car and looked like new inside and out.
Very boring drive though!

:jptongue:I was thinking of a Gransport Spyder but then changed my mind not because I think it is a feminine car but because there was too little room for my handbag and makeup
