Is a Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S a good daily driver proposition?

First post on these forums

I'll be watching this thread with interest

At the moment I have a defender as a toy and a Subaru Impreza WRX Hatch as a daily driver.

I love everything about the Impreza , had it 2 years and had no intention of changing it but I'm 55 in February so have access to a lump sum from my pension.

Ever since I saw the quattroporte I've lusted after one, for me a car has to excite me as soon as I look at it or it's just transport.

So for the next 6 months I'll be reading every owners post regarding which parts are expensive dealer only or the ones that are multi car in different boxes , things to look out for and average prices.

If I go for it the defender and Impreza will go which would give me a budget in the 20-25k bracket which I'm hoping will get me a good one

I'd love a granturismo but even if I could find one for 25k then it'd be a rough one I'm guessing.

The QP is exactly my kind of car, I'm just hoping to be the guy that buys the one that never goes wrong

"The QP is exactly my kind of car"

I know what you mean - loved it the first time I saw it but never thought I see a QP parked outside my house which was actually mine!

Aren't we all! But as you will see from posts you'll need to budget for that eventuality. As you will find as you trawl the forums, it is a high performance car hand made in low volumes by Italians which is never a good recipe for economy motoring. But after one year in you'd have to prize it from my cold dead hands if you wanted to take it from me!

It's Ok my brother in law is Italian, I'll just get him to ring them up , they'll sort it out with pistols or something
