I must say I have been thinking increasingly of late that, as 3200 / 4200 / GS prices drop, the FD toys are looking prohibitively over-priced.

It's one thing to ask £1K+ for a sway bar or sports springs on a £60K+ car, but one that's now valued around £15K?

Hmmmmmm.... Can't quite square that one.

Something else to bear in mind when ordering goods from accross the pond...
remember the import duty, vat, shippers admin fees, etc...as well as the exchange rate...
although some items may still be cheaper when factoring in all of the above,
the saving might not be as big as originally looks.

I would have tp agree Miles ... There is some great stuff on the web site but I nearly feel of my chair at some of the prices .... Spacers.....My friend had some on his 911 that were great quality but half the price a sthe ones on FD .... Saying that it I had a QP or GS think I would still be paying a visit....

Obviously a distributor will have way less margin than the manufacterer themselves. Hence FD are able to offer the big discounts on the Sway Bar kits.

To date ive not had a single enquiry about the Sway Bar kit from anyone in the UK, supplied a few further afield. Is this due to the price or just a lack of interest in the product, im not sure.

Im sure anyone on the forum who has dealt with me, will testify that I will always discount as much as I can on the price, the truth is there isnt a **** of alot in these products, especially when you add up the Postage Costs, Duty, VAT, and Shipping handling charge. Additionally ordering certain products sprodically doesnt help as the economies of scale are not achieved on the shipping. Ive even sourced standard parts for forum members, getting them in cheaper than theyve found them and not made a penny on them.

I agree that mods to certain extent become slightly prohibitive in cost value when the car it self is at 15K compared to when it was at 60 -80k, but the benefits achieved from the mods will be the same, additionaly the same can be said to a certain extent of standard parts prices, servicing and maintenance.

Obviously if there was a particular product that a few forum members were interested in, im sure we could work out a discount, especially if we were to order together and ship together. That way the cost to me would be cheaper and I could bends Jeffs arm to lower the price, obvioulsy any saving will be passed on.

Haveing said that we do have some offers coming in the next couple of weeks on the FD Springs and Spacers.
