Sounds like a very good deal. I'm paying around double that plus for the 4200. I have much no claims, but probably a lower excess.

Not much more compared to the Alfa GT though.

Frank,
That's why I posted, I needed to see what was out there. Our renewal note was for almost £600, so decided to hunt around. Your £347 sounds very good though, if all the dots and dashes are there. I took a bit of time reading the small print due to previous posts and the policy cover seems FULLY COMPREHENSIVE. Is your policy with a NI company, or on the mainland..??
C.,
I have to have a look at my 4200 insurance in a while too, I did my original insurance in a bit of a hurry, so I think I paid about £600 for that, this time I will search for something and have time to do it, I expect around the £400 to £500 though, unless I can get the "Frank Special", which sounds really low. We plumped for a £350 Voluntary Excess and they imposed a £500 Compulsory Excess, but this brought the premium way down. We can also take the car to our nominated repairer in the event of an accident, for a one time fee, which I don't mind to get the car repaired correctly. I once had to take my XJR to a Vauxhall garage for repair after someone rammed me in a stolen car, they made a right mess of it more than once, in the end the insurers allowed me to take it to a proper repairer to do the job.

Cheers

I also look at the confused and others, initially a lot of them look great, my first price was £274, then I looked further and had to start adding on the bits that we wanted in, this put's the price up. We have maximum and protected no claims, so we should get a good deal, but insurance as we all know is a bit of a minefield..!!

Just don't hit anything Frank, or blame it on somebody else and life should be good.
