Installing Braided Brake Lines

Is there some magic technique for removing the flexi brake lines on a Gran Cabrio - or is it straightforward?

My understanding is that the connector should be free to rotate around the brake pipe as you undo it, but this definitely wasn't the case on my car.

I only started the job as I thought it was pretty simple and it would save me the time and hassle of taking the car to the garage - how wrong I was.

Must be why AV engineering left my braided hoses off until I change all 4 discs, pads and lower springs! Makes sense, might as well do it all in one go.

Not up on GC but on the 3200 the two ends of the flexi are fixed and the union on the rigid pipe free to rotate. It’s likely that it may be corroded.

Remove the retaining clip and unscrew the brake union from the flexible hose on the QP.

Resurrecting an old thread.

Can anyone recommend SS braided brake lines for a GT?

I've checked online and there's not many to choose from. Goodridge website suggest they no longer make them for Maserati's.

Found some on Toole Automotive but not sure of the SIMETI brand.
