? Immobiliser related hot start problem

I'm having the hot starting problem on my 2004 4200 manual. Starts fine from cold, runs perfectly, but if you switch off for more than a couple of minutes when hot, then it doesn't start.
It has a new Bosch battery, MAF sensor, oil sender and just tried changing the TDC sensor.
If I connect it to the diagnostic unit these are the error codes, as soon as they are cleared it starts fine.
I'm guessing it is an immobiliser problem, any ideas before I send it to the auto electrician?

I think the imobiliser stops it cranking. Is it still hot when you've cleared the codes?
TCD = crank sensor?

I had this fault intermittently. A suspect engine temperature sensor was replaced but the fault still occurred from time to time. The real fault was actually traced to a problem with the ECU for the binnacle gauges.

The 1602 code is an ecu power supply fault it could be that this is the lack of power is also causing the immobiliser fault. I’d check earths, connectors etc. But an electrical fault that is temp dependant is usually down to failure of internal joints in an electrical component such as an ecu like doodlebug said.

Google hot start problems, hot start relay, especially on Ferrari etc. Maybe the 4200 is coming of age?

Yes, engine still hot after clearing the codes and it will start straight away. You are correct it was the crank sensor I replaced.

I know you have said starts fine from cold, but will it start repeatedly from cold (while still cold).

If it is the normal hot start problem and not related to the immobiliser I have also had the exact same symptoms.

Starts fine cold, doesn't start when hot and ambient temp is low, fans were running at high speed (resistor was new so not an issue with that) despite engine temp being below 90°. Stank of fuel from the exhausts like over fueling.

I replaced: thermostat, engine temp sensor, wash / purge valve, carbon canister.

Not happened again for over 3 years now.
