Ignition / Sound question?

Only some times, when I turn the car off, there is a high pitch tone from behind the dash?? , maybe 15 seconds. Quite loud.
Otherwise, operation normal.

Lots of funny noises with electronics after swith off of my various rentals... It may be normal but they are not very loud.

That's normal. 15-20 sec high pitched tone.

Mine was a manual Davy. I know the noise he means. It's a high pitched electronic type whine from rear of the block area. It's like it's on a timer and runs on a wee bit when ignition turned off. Mine did it for six years assume it was meant /normal.

Mine does it too. Its an auto.

On the CC box you get a high pitched warning when you switch the car off while in neutral.
The handbook recommends you park up and leave in first or reverse. Maybe they knew how ineffective the handbrake would be.
