Was not aware SM was doing one......any idea on timescales?

We are assisting/developing with EasyMas that Steve has built, it’s brilliant.

During the lock down he is pushing to get it finished.

As most of above simple readers are easy to get hold of but one that does much more can get expensive very quickly

i bought a cheap one just to be able to read codes in case they appear. I had a couple of cel's showing up and paying 60 pounds each time to get it read was getting expensive fast. Also it is just gives some piece of mind to have the reader with you if something pops up.

I guess with a quality reader (even the expensive ones) you get your money out of it if you have multiple cars and do maintenance yourself.

Thanks for the feedback regarding the plug being a normal OBD2 connection. I tried connecting it last week and it came up with P0430 catalyst system efficiency below threshold Bank 2. I've reset it and driven it hard a few days going to work and and no problem so fingers crossed it stays away.

Thats what i use with an app called Torque OBD. You can read codes and clear them and record various bits of data. You can set and save a profile for different cars in the app. Its limited after that but does the job for basic diagnostic and fault clearing.
