Ideas on what it's worth.

I have the opportunity to buy back my first Maserat. Its a revised 2003 (04MY) with 78k on the clocks.

I sold it in 2011 for £13k with 69k, and I suspect it has had little maintenance since then as it has been owned by a TV production Co for most of that time, featuring on Emmerdale a number of times.

It had a full SH with a service every year before I sold it, but I suspect this is now lost somewhere.

So forum opinion on its worth?!?
How come it has a 2006 plate in the Emmerdale grab when it's a 2004?

I'm probably not the best person to ask about buying back a previously owned car - this isn't quite as I remembered it when I last owned it 20 years ago ... no regrets though and I look forward to driving it again one day, maybe!

If it's at the right price, I would buy it back, you clearly have fond memories and it's a car that has brought smiles to peoples' faces

I initially though it was a Bristol 412! Still hanker after a 412 or 603....

A Maserati without a SH? FWIW I think you're being generous at £5k.
The car will have been depreciated away to nothing, if those rules still apply
to company assets. So, anything they get, will go straight to the bottom line
and cheer up the accountant. I'd be guessing that nobody wants to field 101 enquiries
from the mad, bad and sad. The fact that you're prepared to take it off their
hands for anything is a big plus. He's had his fun with it and not maintained
the value. He has to expect to have his trousers taken down, because there
are no small bills with Maseratis, are there? And your upside is limited.
I'd offer £4,000 cash and a hassle free transaction. Its the way I've framed
offers and sellers attach a fair bit of value to an easy transaction. My 10c :)

Did the owner use it as his daily driver in Beirut?

So a bit of thread revival as I hate loose ends.

Spoke to the current owner last eve. He is willing to sell, but mentioned that it had a gearbox problem and an overheating issue which he states are both resolved. Car has only done c2k in the 5 or so years he has had it and is in the same condition it was when he purchased it. Car now at c80k.

Wanted £11k which is way over the 6k indicated by WBAC; As such I sad thanks but no thanks.

Made the right decision. The seller won't sell it for more than 6k if it have gearbox and overheating issues as they tend to lead to other issues further down the line. Those are big jobs.
