I have the opportunity to buy back my first Maserat. Its a revised 2003 (04MY) with 78k on the clocks.

I sold it in 2011 for £13k with 69k, and I suspect it has had little maintenance since then as it has been owned by a TV production Co for most of that time, featuring on Emmerdale a number of times.

It had a full SH with a service every year before I sold it, but I suspect this is now lost somewhere.

So forum opinion on its worth?!?

Financially only... I suspect the Co will ask me what I am prepared to offer... but alert to the amount of work it could need is an unknown.

5k would be a bargain IMO but no harm in starting there.

Have you pumped the details into WBAC - I suspect they will and will have an idea from that of 'market' value.

I wouldn't buy it if it's had no maintainence for those years. It will just cost fortunes to put right. Sometimes it's better to leave things as a nice memory and not revisit them.

I got 8.5k for my 03 4200 when I traded it in against my GTS, and that had 82k on it and was 4 years ago.

That had FSH.

So less than that is my guess.

Regardless of what it might be worth, I doubt you will be able to buy it for much less that the WMAC price, why would they?
Your £5k valuation does not sound too cheeky if you were offering a hassle free transaction.

Peter you will always be having people say I've seen that car in Emmerdale.
If you can get it for 5K and it still runs and drives okay not needing wish bones or a subframe I reckon it would be good.

Spoken to the owner of the Co.

Car was bought in Newcastle when the team were filming Vera. It was used by his business partner as his own as well as a few times on the farm programme.

Been sat for 2 years inside (barn find! Ha ha). They have not done anything to the car and the owner is now having his hip replaced (no connection with getting out of the car), so would sell.

I have said I may be interested for old times sake, but already have one I rarely use... so it would need to be a bargain for me to buy it... you never know.
