Hey guys, newbie here. I went to see this one and it looked and drove really nicely and I didn't notice any lack of carbon until stumbling across this comment! Are these difficult to shift without any carbon options? As I'm only really looking to buy something for a European trip this year, although will possibly keep it if I really like it.
Also while the exhaust sounds great from the outside, I was a little disappointed with the sound from the inside even in race mode, there was a distinct lack of induction noise. Is there anything which could remedy this?
Ewan told me three years ago that there were three Stradales just up the road for sale and with a Gransport in my back pocket I went off to buy one on a whim. One was white and the others were in black and gun metal (it has a more fancy name). The first two were covered in carbon and the gun metal one had little. All the prices were more or less identical and sold by specialist dealers.
I bought the third car because the overall condition was better, mileage lower and was the two seat version. The carbon may lift the interior a bit but its no deal breaker in my view and other factors trump it. We have all read updates saying there are some rough cars out there and I'd pay particular attention to the overall look and feel of the car and avoid some of the import items that crop up.
Still love the car but miss the Gransport a lot which made a 4K profit for me making the move to the Stradale even easier.
As to the lack of noise - I've never experienced this in the Stradale or even the Gransport.
Cheers all and happy summer motoring
