To anyone that may have been distressed by the sound of a 4.2l V8 being redlined across large swathes of West Essex and East Herts this morning.

After almost precisely 6 months of ownership, I finally managed to get out with
1) Daylight
2) Dry roads
3) Warm sunshine
4) Time
5) Fuel
6) No idiots in front of me.

With the iPod running, I'm sort of giving up on the 'radio' and had the trip meter on. I didn't see it drop that far, but the text is a bit small

There are some very good roads near here, one if the old mayors was a big racing fan, so whenever they were re-surfacing a road, they tended to add a few curves and camber them for spirited driving. They even close off one section for a couple of miles for a day each year and use the local cart track, turn it into what the call the "slalom"...I was just trying it out for them a couple of weeks early : )
