Dukes are great especially the last of the 998's and the new 1098/1198's but if I was to buy a high end Italian bike it would have to be the Aprilia RSV4 Factory. With a sports pipe. Once heard, never forgotten

MVs are bloody lovely but I'd have the RSV4. The 999 was a mess, especially the rear, but had a fantastic engine.

the 916 was a nice bike when it came out. Prefer the 998 to the 999. But a 1098 in yellow, mmmmm that is a bike

I also love MV Agusta bikes, they looks so good, but I bet they aren't the most comfortable bike... Hate the new R1 pig ugly....
