After years of putting up with two strip lights, half the time with only one working.

Took a punt on these 120W LED lights that screw straight into an E27 fitting and holy **** I’ve transformed my garage into a top end showroom :D

Pics won’t do it justice but I can thoroughly recommend these things, £30 a pop 50000 hours life

I need some LED strips for the garage. Bought one for the server cupboard and it's fantastic.

They look really good

I certainly need more than I have ATM. Only two strips but I think the PO maybe actually put a car in there. All the lights are towards the back. (It's double length)

Wife ordered them, I just checked but they’re now ‘not available’ meaning sold out I suppose.
I‘ll keep an eye on it and report back as I need another 2 myself.

I’ve bought 4 of these. Fittings army brilliant but with a bit of help they go up ok. Really bright. Cheap as well. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/313142884162

Crikey... it claims to be CE marked but at that price do you really think the manufacturer has properly tested the product... notice it doesn't say CCC which is the minimum standard for China itself, CE marking is a bit of an industry p!ss take

Be careful with stuff guys... Very cheap stuff from Amazon and eBay might end up melting cables, shorting and setting itself on fire... Which could cost a huge amount more than spending a bit more on decent lighting

If you want cheap lights get the cheapest from your local electrical wholesaler - at least then you can guarantee some safety standards and indemnity against what is lighting your pride and joy (and whatever else)

Since we are showing our overly bright garages I might as well chip in

This is a luminaire that is made by a subsidiary of the company I work for. It may look like a simple vaporproof but it has wireless capability, PIR detection, daylight detection, dimmable with maintained illuminance out of the box and if it is twinned with the full control system a stupid amount of features through the online portal (occupancy sensors, time clocks, various reporting tools... The list is endless). It is the sort of product which would be installed in a factory or high end car park hence why it is stupidly bright and overly complex

Costs a bit more than £20 but it was a sample cost to me

I was going to put 3 across the middle but changed my mind last minute and went for 4

Im a fan of white light anyway even in the house, but with dimmers in the house.

These things are brilliant though. Should have done it ages ago.

I’ve bought 15 LED panels for my garage renovation. 600 x 300 mm. £20 each. Really does the job once ceiling and walls are plastered and painted white.

Is that conventional plasterboard or something else bebs....?

This year I need to get my sorry Aris' in gear and get my garage sorted.
