I Hate Waxing

Well first time this year I washed the car and waxed it with Autoglym Swiss Wax. Apart from being hotter than **** today waxing is my most unfavourite part of owning a car. Its a time when you notice every little blemish in the paintwork and a few have developed since I bought the car last year.

I can see I already will have an outlay next year when I book her in for annual service.

1) The dreaded blistering around the bottom of the bootlid and one or two under back light. I am reckoning that I only have to paint below the spoiler where as on a 4200 this would mean the whole boot.

2) stone chip on bonnet........Loz please bring touch up paint to the meet on 1st July...............If you remember I wont ban you :)

3) I am afraid all four wheels will need sorting.......despite using the mirrors dipping when parking I have managed to damage all wheels

Think next time I will give the car to someone else to wax.....What the eye does not see the heart does not grieve for

Know what you mean, its a constant battle to keep it in A1 condition, but to be honest, I enjoy tinkering its just when it costs alot I hate it.

The stone chips are by far the worst thing, I had the front bumper and bonnet done and within a month I got one right on the nose, and its neigh impossible to touch them in on the silvers and greys.

I even wet sanded the stone chips after filling with a left over pot of paint and it still sticks out like a spare ***** in a brothel!!!

Urban, Try waxing at night, you don't see the defects, you get a good workout and you go to bed feeling good because you've waxed.:saifi4:

Thankfully Swivax also do some more reasonable price wax's. I am using Scuderia. Designed for Italian paint, smells lovely and does not leave a nasty petrol smell on your hands.

£75 per tub.

Is Italian paint different to rest of the world then or is that just a gimmick...
