Ok so I am making steady, if somewhat scary, progress in stripping the 3200 engine.
With cylinder heads off I am now looking to pull off the bottom end to inspect bearings, crank, thurst washers etc.
To do this you need to remove the timing gear on the front of the block which drives the timing belt. Manual shows (Fig 42 below) use of tool 9000 25540.
This tool seems to screw into an internal thread (11mm?) and get clamped to the pulley face.
I have tried several methods of gentle persusade to remove but no joy.
Has anyone found an alternative method to pull off this pulley or indeed have a spare 9000 25540 tool I could borrow
Many thanks
Ian
