Interesting question Ian.....and I wonder how many are actually still around, that DVLA site thingy is notoriously inaccurate so you can't go by that!

In total there were 4795 produced over 39 markets with Japan being quite a large one (RHD). I don't know the actual figure but if you look on how many left there were about 300 manuals registered in 2000 and 370 auto's in 2000. So say 700 over here.

There's an article in the latest Octane mag saying what a good buy the 3200/4200's are right now before they start going up

The total number of Maserati 3200 GT Assetto Corsa produced is 259 (163 with manual gearbox, 96 with automatic gearbox)

Regarding the colours, three were the “standard” for AC:
Grigio Touring: 73 cars produced
Nero Carbonio: 63 cars produced
Rosso Mondiale: 60 cars produced

On request the Customer at that time could ask for a different colour. We have produced AC also with the following colours:

Silver was most popular then black then red but not much between them . Guess maybe 9 or 10 ?

You're right Dem, very staid, soulless, Japanese OAP transport apart from the V-tecs. Same for their motorbikes but they are very reliable!
