A great day out was had at Hopetoun House yesterday, the sun was splitting the skys and a fantastic display of cars was on hand including 20+ Masers, 30+ Fezzas, 10+ Lambos and loads of Alfas/Fiats etc. The Masers included plenty of moderns as well as (the concours winning) Merak, Indy, Khamsin, Gibbly etc. An Enzo and Pagani just added to the interest.

I would just like to take this opportunity to say a huge well done to Paul for organising such a good event.

Hopefully someone else will post a few photos, beyond a technophobe like me.

Cheers

Likewise, thought it was a fantastic day - a tribute to Paul and his organising team! Great to meet up with other Maser owners, and put a few faces to usernames.

Here are a few pics (can you tell I was more interested in the classics?!) Would have taken a ton more but my battery died.

The merak won the 'car the organisers would most like to take home award'

cheers Adam - was great that the weather was so nice, but could have done with a hat! After a day of standing in the sunshine, by the time I'd battled through the Edinburgh ring road traffic on my way home I thought I was getting heat stroke!

It was a fantastic day and great to meet everyone, Well done Paul.
Chris, the Maserati Club guys&gals had the right idea - table, picnic basket with lots of goodies, champagne glasses and the most important sun screen! I do have a certain glow about me today and its not the porridge with whisky combo I had for breakfast!

a couple of photos before the battery gave up on me

Andrew - think you're right - will have to bring a table/food/drinks along next time. When I got home the first thing my wife said was 'you idiot - your face is bright red'

PS I can't remember exactly what the criteria for defining alcohol addiction are off the top of my head, but I'm fairly sure that porridge with whisky should be one of them!

Don't suppose anyone got a picture of my car (the grey 3200)? My battery ran out before I could take one of it alongside the merak and others...

Horses for courses I expect P, personally prefer champagne, but wouldn't care if others preferred beer!

Forgot to mention that Andrew and I had a word with the chap from MP supercars about running an open day and he said he'd look into it. He's currently trying to set up a grand prix day, predominantly for his Ferrari customers, but he said everyone was welcome. When Andrew suggested an open day he did mention that his premises weren't all that flash, but that anyone was welcome to come and have a look around...

PS Pibbow, you got the midget gems out of the gearstick gaiter yet? ;) ;) ;)
