Hi,

Happy to have just purchased a 2007 QPV Executive GT.

I am based in Surrey and enjoying driving this car through the many dodgy country roads!

Identified issues I will be looking to address;
  • Second car key needs to be reprogrammed
  • Corrosion protection
  • Upgrade the Blaupunkt entertainment unit (hopefully as this looks to be somewhat impossible in 2022!)
Welcome. Try Remotefobcentre on ebay. He is in Leicester but is really good.

If you have the CD changer under the steering wheel, then replace it with a loudlink

Welcome QP_V. Unfortunately, the closest that I ever got to being in a Surrey, was the Surrey bend on the Thames.
Nice part of the world though.
Sounds like you're having a relatively gentle introduction to Maserati ownership and long may it continue.
There is a helpline number for Maserati addicts, though I seem to have misplaced it, just at this moment.
Its a moot point though, as its unmanned most of the time. There being no known cure, you see.

Hello QP_V and welcome.
Particularly pleased to welcome another Surrey member.

You will have discovered the forum banter by now.
Very soon (I think you've been here almost all day now) you will be asked for photographs. Not of yourself, you understand, but of your car. We all like the cars.
Being another Surrey resident, I hope we and our cars can meet each other before too long. I just need to finish fixing mine.....
Mine is a 4.2 Executive QPV with ZF gearbox, interior that is lovely (in an oak panelled sort of way) and plenty of toys. Its just that one of the rear windows does not work....
Do try to get to see Makeshift's car. Its very impressive and he's not far from either of us. Perhaps meet at the Bletchingley classic car meet in due course.
Do keep posting and keep reading. If, like me, you are a first time Maserati owner, there is much to learn.
Meanwhile, drive your magnificent new car all the time ( You'll find that you can contrive a way of hanging Indian take away bags from the picnic tables in front of the rear seats) That's right. I even drive mine, rather than any other car I have the use of, half a mile to the village take away just for the sheer joy of being in it and better still actually driving it.
Enjoy the summer evenings and summer afternoons and summer mornings in your Maserati. :)
Oh, and be sure to post some photos. We all need to see photos.

Warm welcome @QP_V! Congratulations and as Alan says, please do share pics of your new car! I have a QP V, 2007 Sport GT Auto and have been through a lot of the questions you have been/will be asking. Happy to share experiences etc. with you e.g. have dealt with the sticky interior and car looks and feels almost as new.

Will look into this and speak to Sports Italia to see if they will fit it.

Thanks for the warm welcome, glad to hear from a local Maserati owner. I’m in Weybridge, where about are you? We can meet at a car meet for sure otherwise Mercedes-Benz world is another good shout.

I will indeed be taking plenty of photos, of the car that is not me, and posting updates. As you may have noticed I’m very excited about owning my first Maserati hence why I’ve spent most of the working week reading through this forum and not getting much else done.
