Hi All.
I've been looking around here for a few days since a couple of folk gave me the nod from the other forum, seems this one has much more going on, which is great.
I suppose both have their good points and they do both seem to be full of nice (grown up?) people.

So, I'll be looking around at all the past advice, hoping I don't do any re posts before getting stuck in.

My first mission is to look for a good 3200 and after advice from a few guys on here, will be giving Dicky Grace a call tomorrow.
I saw what looks like a good buy for me on PH and have been told he's a top man.

Anyway, I hope this is the first of many posts from me.

Cheers for now.

Mark

Welcome to the forum Mark. I've just posted a reply on the 'other side', but in short, if it's one of Dicky's cars you can be confident it'll be good!

Welcome to the forum Mark. You won't go wrong with Dicky;.. one of the good guys and a regular contributor to the forum. Hope you find a 3200 with your name on it. Have you looked at the AC? They are pricey compared to the 3200, but limited run and will hold their value. A couple of really good examples for sale at the moment if you're interested?

Cheers, Miles.

Thanks everyone.
it's good to hear folk rate dealers.
I need to tread carfully as I'm not anywhere near the level of knowledge I usually am when it's time for a new car.
I have a commuter hack at my disposal (please don't tell the GF I called her pride and joy that) so for the first time in my life I can realise a dream and drive it wisely, couple of days to work and weekends.
I would usually lurk on a forum for weeks/months before posting, to get the feel of the car and people who drive them etc, so I'm in relatively new territory here, only been looking around for a few days, but this forum is bristling with excellent posts from what seems to be very experience folk.

Still a bit scary though!

Thanks for the tip Andy, I'll be over here for a long time I think.

Well Mark,

welcome and enjoy the banter of the best Maserati forum 'in the World'...

I would not have believed owning a Maserati could be life changing but it is, simply phenominal, great community, filling up or just sitting in it and people will tell you 'that's a great car mate'!!! but best of all is the fixed smile you aquire, if you are down in the dumps or had a rough day; don't kick the cat (unless it's been sat on your car) just get in, fire it up and feel the stresses drain away!!!

All that safe in the knowledge you are saving the planet instead of shipping a car all the way from the far east.....

Just in case no one has mentioned it yet Mark....the bench mark for any purchase of a high end car, particularly a Maserati....and especially a 3200 is get an independent inspection.....this will be the most important and cost effective £200-300 pounds you will spend in your search.

Good luck in your search and welcome to the most wonderful Maserati forum in the known world.........even if I am a bit biased.....;)

Hi Mark,
A very warm welcome the THE Forum, most of us are also mebers of other forums, but this is by far the best fountain of knowledge and friendly Maserati site you will find. Lot's of 3200 owners on here, in comparison to some and all will be forthcoming with excellent advice if required. As Parisien say's, when you find a car you like, get an independant inspection. If the car is at a recommended dealer and that is not always an official Maserati dealer, you are pretty safe. ANY other car dealer and it is a must to get an Indie' Inspection.
Best of Luck

Cheers
Robert
