I agree that factory fitted would typically not have this long straps. On the other hand here they are look alike as well although its clear that one cannot simply scale this but maybe its an indecation. Also I noticed that some of the manifold connecting hoses started to desintregrate from the inside (so outside at the clip was still ok, but on the inside one could see that it started to open.

But maybe I can get another opinion on the diameter of the water manifold connectors and the zig zag hose I got as original Masarati spare. The hose has 18mm diameter while the manifold has a 21mm connector. The straight one is just 1mm less than the manifolds so this would fit more smoothly. Also the original zigzag (leftmost hose) is quite widened under the position of the clip so is this also a second supplier or is this just italien precision?

well i will try source some new hoses if the t-piece is correct.

one thing though, i would love to know how maserati expect you to undo the offside cylinder head exhaust manifold bolt furthest to the rear, lower inner bolt of the 3, it has about 3-4mm gap around it, thats the only thing stopping me getting the other head off now, 1 bloody nut!

Last time i checked, Halfords clips, were made by Norma. Norma are high quality screw [jubilee] clips. And many european cars, are fitted with horrid spring clips. Jubilee clips for me, everytime!

I had the same T piece not red but its there - the short pipe to the manifold is £75 on eurospares - the other long pipe £12, the 4 short pipes are 32mm inside diameter and 60mm long (its on the forum elsewhere) replaced mine with silicone hose bought in a meter length and cut to size.

The short pipe also has a smaller diameter at the T piece end than the other - what a pain.

All my hoses looked like MUC's photos and slightly bulged/pinched around the clip - all hoses like this discarded and new fitted with new clips

Inlet manifolds off seem to be a favourite pastime recently

Hi together

Just noticed the top picture - right hand short pipe to T piece (as mine) middle and left to another clip? left pipe from front under manifold (covers the front knock sensor)
middle pipe looks much shorter than mine and connects onto a metal tube. They both go to the heater, middle pipe to top connection, left to the bottom see my picture.

First picture is first time manifold removed. second was taken after the first attempt when I had a leak (water) and had to remove all again hence the red sealant on the inlets

Also 4 air vacuum connections - I have three (the 4th is blanked off)
