Help identifying these fobs

Hi
My 2010 GTS arrived yesterday and came with two black fob things, the delivery driver has no idea what they are and I can't find any reference to them in the user manual.

Any ideas?

Tracker tags. I think you really want to have one on you when you drive the car, or it might get 'noisy'

Could be wrong, though

Thanks, I had no idea the car was fitted with a tracker the dealer didn't specify that it was.
How on earth would I find out for sure and if it's active, I assume more than one company fit and monitor trackers.

Just paid 300 quid to renew mine for the year. The system is called NAVTRAK ADR. If the car goes anywhere without one of these fobs inside you get a phone call and asked for a password...

If your insurer hasn't insisted on a tracking device then don't bother activating them, just keep the fobs safe in case you sell on etc.

The Vodafone tracker is ridiculously expensive and as soon as my insurer doesn't insist on it I'll stop the premium for it. To be honest, if a thief does away with the car the chances are I won't really want it back.

(There's no noise if you start/move the car without them).

You don't have to use the ADR system. You can pay half the price and just get the tracker activated without the ADR (the requirement to have one of these cards in your wallet).

Thanks for the info guys.
I will speak with Vodafone to fully understand the subscription and activation options and then with my insurer.
I am with RAC and they didn't insist on one but I will ask if there is a saving if I had one activated.

Not in my car, you can't. Full ADR subscription or nothing at all according to Vodafone themselves.

Same with mine. That could be a Ghibli thing though,, may be what's installed at the factory.
Nope, same with mine (2012 GT Sport).

Possibly different with the GTS, but I suspect not if it's the same system - was told they only do one level of cover (rip off level) with that system.

Not true!

Well not for me anyway. Don't know what it has to do with Vodafone?

Navtrak contacted me and told me there were two option.

Vodafone now run the system as far as I'm aware (http://automotive.vodafone.co.uk/products/gps-vehicle-tracking.aspx).

When trying to see if I could get the lesser level of service (having searched on here I believed it existed) I also found https://www.selectautosystems.co.uk/navtrak/ Subscription cost on that page is the same price (£302), no second level of cover noted.

As mentioned, the system on the Sport might be different. Vodafone/Navtrak/whomever might be more accommodating on non-Sports...but I asked three times and was told the same thing each time. Only one level of cover on that system.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone with a Sport has managed to get them to cover the car on the lower level of service as if they have I'll give them a call and ask for a refund for mis-selling:)

Even at £200 a year for the basic service it's still quite pricey and I doubt I could make that saving with my insurance
so won't be bothering this time, but at least I know the car has one.

I wonder what would happen if the car got stolen and I then activate the tracker, I guess they could find it if it's still the UK?

I suspect they'd back date your tracker bills as a minimum :)

Navtrak was bought out by Cobra in 2007. Cobra was bought by Vodafone in 2014. It's now known as Vodafone Automotive and Navtrak ADR is now simply the name for the tracker system.

Ok. My quote from Navtrak was from last year.

It is for a GTS.

So I don't know what is going on. I do find it strange they only offer an ADR only for you but I have something different. Mine is a 2012 car.

What is yours?
