Folks,

Got a wee bit of condensation in my drivers side headlight, 2009 GTS, non in the other side. No doubt it'll clear itself now the weather is picking up and she'll be out and about more but any little tips to clear this, are there any holes on the headlight unit I can stick a cloth in or anything?

Cheers

That looks familiar. A few of us were comparing notes on this down at Horsham last weekend, Ryan. All had the same problem and all knew it would clear soon enough. For me it tends to happen after the car has been washed, but doesn't last long.

Drive with the lights on and the heat will evaporate the water and the movement of air will expel the warm moist air.

Thanks gents. Just wasn't sure if there was a wee tip on clearing it.

She hasn't been washed in probably a month or so and she's basically sat in the garage. She's getting s good run out tomorrow though so I imagine that'll clear it.

On a seperate subject how annoying is the wheel arch material, it's like a fabric which collects everything in it, needs to be a smooth plastic

They were smooth plastic up to the face lift 4200/GS . Reason for the chamge is to lessen the noise of spray from the big tyres when driving in the wet.

They must have realised pretty quickly that it's like Velcro for road ****, looks like a well used floor brush or something lol.

I had those liners on my Alfa GT. Driving down the road one day, a tractor had dropped a load of slurry on the road which I had no chance of avoiding. Of course, it all got stuck in the liners and the smell was unbelievable. I had to wash the car and my neighbours thought that there as something wrong with their drains. Brilliant design feature.

I think the textured arch liners are designed to stop/minimise spray when driving on wet roads.
