Has anyone ever REMOVED a sports Exhaust and put back on the stock one ?
I am thinking of doing so as to be honest i cant get ladies to ride in the car bacause of the noise!
It also makes everyone look at you when you drive down the road.
Gets a bit annoying after a while and i get the desire to just blend in a little bit.
I think i might just go back to stock set.
Or maybe i should have gone the way of Larini and these quicksilver are just not a great exhaust.

i must admit i love the notes of the Larini' i have, and my wife is telling me its not as loud as my previous XKR so thinking i may need to add the H-Pipe. One think i like about these though is that on the motorway they go quiet ~70, which on a long trip is nice, rather than having the drone coming through the cabin. As for turning a few heads, quite like that, people tend to get out the way too. lol I'm sure my neighbors have got used to the burble and dulcet tones of the car in the morning.

I did exactly that recently. Bought the stock rear boxes and pipes off Safrane and the fixings off David Askew. Local garage fitted it and everything is fine.

My aftermarket exhaust was a set of straight through pipes which make the car sound like a V8 Ferrari IMHO but it was too much for me with the resonance on long journeys. My 'bits' are for sale if anyone is interested?

Yes, I agree, too loud all the time through all the gears and all rev ranges a bit too much.

Fine if you have the button as per the Larinis, or only noticable on hard accelration.....but all the time especially if too much resonance/vibration.....less than ideal!

Sure mate. Left and right rear double pipes, straight through (no back boxes) connect up to the end of the mid section pipes via welding (as it was on my car) or sleeves (don't have the latter spare), suspended to the underside via rods welded to the pipes and hooked through the underside mounting points. There are three rods either side but only five (not six) came back from the garage. They are very simple though so an exhaust place should be able to replicate.

Happy to donate 25% of the proceeds to site funds if I sell them. No idea what they are worth mind you! If it helps the price point, I paid Safrane £200 for a pair of used back boxes without fixings.

Who made them, any other details, do they get rid of the secondary cats, pics maybe?

Will do photos for anyone seriously interested. No idea what make they are as they are unstamped. They only go back to where oem back boxes are sleeved onto the end of the mid pipes so stop a long way short of the second set of cats - they stop before you pass the rear wheel.

Yep, my Larinis are too loud all the time. Luckily I have the valved rear boxes, plus I have wired the valves independently of SPORT button.
