Anyone who has not had a tub of harley's wax from Dem needs to buy some....It's a great product and the more you use it the better it gets.......OK its not a Maserati but a lowly Scoda but here's a few close up pics after I gave Liz's VRS a wax today.....Been using it for a few years but it always amazes me especially on a black car....It gives a real deep glass like shine..

you got any before/during/after pics Andy?? i waxed my mums car the other day as the swirls on it were ridiculous, after 2 good coats of Auto Glym deep shine, the swirls were hardly any different, i bet i will need to use an electric polisher to remove the swirls.

Paint looks excellent by the way, you wax the wheels as well??

Is Harley wax as much of a pain in the 4rse to polish off as other wax's such as Simonize Carnuba? Once that stuff has hardened it is like buffing up concrete.

Dont know about the Simonize, but the Harley is sort of greasy, so it does not dry out in the sun. Its best not to let it bake, but comes off really easy. Just keep changing the polish off cloth, it will get saturated in the greasy wax you have taken off and you'll end up giving yourself a hard life.

Adam, the old 'womens swirly car!!!!' ...so she usually puts it through the car wash then, very bad?

No wax will get rid of the swirl marks, you need to remove them. The only product I have used that masks them with a filler is Megs Tech wax, its brilliant, but when it washes off they start coming back.

The only way is to take it to a body shop and have it mopped. It will cost about £100 and worth every penny, the results are simply breathtaking as long as the car is not heavily stone chipped or deep scratch or the lacquer is flaking.

No we dont take it through car washes, it just had not been waxed for about 10 months. The car has the odd stone chip on the front but no lacquer is flaking.
