Handbrake shoes

Hi all,

Im looking to get these refurbed at Belfast Brakes and was wondering if there is a spare set that I can put on the 3200 whilst mine are away?

Chippie, there is a thread on here somewhere that explains the shoe types.

Believe it or not the 3200 and 4200 and GS are not the same, I think there are 2 different widths.

With the beauty of hindsight, I would send yours away, it will save you the disappointment of getting a spare set done only to find when you take it all apart, they dont fit.

BB only take 3-4 days, so quite quick. You can still drive it without the handbrake shoes, but make sure you remove all things that could get caught in the rotating wheel, cable etc.

Err, I'd think twice about driving with no operating handbrake it is the drivers responsibility to make sure the car is roadworthy and knowing that the handbrake is disabled (=not roadworthy) is then an offense I think...

Just a thought...
