GTS mute exhaust

Was driving home on Friday and it sounded like I had a loose heat sheild under the car. Thought nothing of it over the weekend.

Got in the car today and all was well, but at lunch, for some reason, in SPORT I had no open valves. Then over the day I have had one open, then back to nothing.

They do open on startup, then shut off, any ideas before I go crawling around?

Probably a stuck solenoid on the valves, mine got stuck after about a year.
Should be a warranty fix.

They do get gunked up. Give it the beans in normal mode then hit the Sport button. Do that a few times. If it doesn't solve the problem, at least you've had some fun!

Cheers guys, I'll take a look.

A bit of Wd40 and some manual manipulation.....then the full beans, any excuse!

I assume it's the same as the GS vacuume system, but what is making me scratch my head is if you disconnect the vacuum system, the valves default to open, so the error is a signal telling them to close which sounds like a deeper issue.

Dealer visit.

I am considering getting the FD switchable module for mine so I have full control of the valves as it suits me. Sometimes I feel that people get wound up when I shoot past them in sport mode due to the noise. As a weekend car I would be less worried but in a daily driver I feel a bit self conscious at times.

Can you tell me a bit more about the FD switchable module, sounds interesting?
