Saw the thread title and though at once of the beautiful Triumph GT6.

Am I showing my age?

Probably. You're not alone though - I thought the same. A good friend of mine has almost finished the nut & bolt restoration of his, resplendent in 70s magenta!

And I thought you were talking about an old Triumph coupe. How times have changed....

Maybe we could have a on-line Maserati Sports Forum members racing championship when the new game comes out..now that would be cool!

What do you think Catman..

Technically possible I'd have thought. Driving games are not really my bag these days. In fact I started going off computer games after Half Life 2. Dunno what happened, really.

Beautiful colour! My '69 Spitfire was Signal Red. Always hankered after a GT6 but I couldn't afford one. All my money (and more) was already being spent to keep the bloody thing alive.

i had an old triumph 2000 which i fitted a GT6 engine to. The triumph had done 220,000 miles and the engine was a little loose! GT6 had mated with a bus leaving only the engine. i changed the crank for the 2500 one, and had every thing in the engine balanced, weighed all the pistons and con rod on a micron scale and made them all the same. it would do near 7500 rpm. it was a very nice car to drive, great gearbox with the mad overdrive on the gear knob!! i think my car was a pretty drab maroon colour no metallic paint in them days.
