GT MC - EPB manual override - what next?

So flat battery (again, must be a drain as lesss than a week standing).

EPB got stuck on. Common problem with a flat batter reading the threads.

Manually over rode the EPB in the boot with the special tool (turning clockwise like the picture NOT the text in the manual!). Brake freed but manual says it needs to be taken to a dealer to be reset in order to work properly.

This sounds all a bit unnecessary, any ideas/thought about resetting?

Disconnect the EPB ECU plug under the boot compartment.

I think if you want the EPB to work again, it needs a reset from the SD2 does it not?

It has to measure (apparently) where its bite point is.
