Chaps,

As per my other thread on where to get wheels refurbed, I think I've decided on who to use having visited them earlier this week and seen some examples of their work.

Now, at present, I have to say I'm pretty much going to have to go standard silver (I cant find the paint code for shadow chrome and its an expensive mistake to make!), but using my VERY limited photoshop skills, I've tried a few colours.

What would you go for? (pls ignore my shoddy PS skills!)

Std Silver:

Shadow Chrome (well, the closest I could get):

Grey:

Dark Grey:

Black:

I'm leaning towards 1 or 2 at the mo.... I'd say 3 and 4 are unlikely, despite one or two (not naming names Andy) prefering the dark route...

Thoughts/opinions?

I would say standard, after seeing my first black GS at the weekend which had silver wheels on it, they really suited the car.

On a black GS the ball polished wheel looks spectacular. The problem is getting the OEM ball polished refurbished. Is that what you currently have? I've seen a black GS with the OEM Mercury Grey and it looks very nice. I switched from ball polished to mercury grey and love it. Made my car look more "current" and gave it a meaner look. I think you should not go too dark and risk it blending too much with your paint. You want contrast.

Either way, she's a beauty and enjoy her in good health!

I dont like the grey, too dark and dull on a black car. Ball polished are nice but i think they are a bit in your face, think they look nicer in the warmer countries.

I love the standard silver wheels on my blu nettuno, only issue is they show up any scuff mark and brake dust - so if I to choose again I might be tempted by the grey as I think they look good also.

Am getting wheels refurbed too...thinking about a wheel colour change.......car colour is Nero carbonio.....if too dark they just look too naff against that body colour....IMHO

Other suggestions?

Standard silver would be my choice.

The darker you go, the more it will look like the Bat Mobile.....

Hmm...OK, thanks fellas.

I thought about ball polished when a set came up for sale recently, but decided against them. I tend to agree with Adam that they look great in warmer countried, but over here, covered in salt and street grime, they might not look so good. To contradict that, I've seen a grey with ball polished and it looks great!

JP, currently its on the std silver. I think one side has had a refurb though as it seems to be more metalic. Does anyone definately have OEM finish on thiers still (i.e. you know they've never been refurbed)? If so, are they slightly metalic or flat?

Adam, that black GS looks very nice - where was that? Do you have any more pics?

Shouldn't post things like that before the watershed which is 9pm, bloody lovely isn't it although i dont like the beige steering wheel, would have to be black for me.

Completely agree Adam, apart from the steering wheel, that is automotive ****. Stunning.
