GS Tyre Pressures

I am looking for experience on tyre pressures.
My GS book says: Front 2.4 Bar Rear 2.2 Bar

If anyone has any comments to make on these pressures I would be interested. In certain conditions they seem maybe too high, but I am going by the book, am I wrong to do that..??

Current Front Tyres: Falken 452 ( I am not sure about these for grip so far)
Current Rear Tyres: Pirelli P Zero (I am used to those and find them excellent)

Cheers

I second that.

If anything, during the cold months you can add an extra 0.2 bar to compensate for the colder air and hence lower standing pressures and longer time to warm.

Going lower than standard, except on a track day, will just cause the tyres to move more on their side wall and wear quicker.

When I picked the car up the pressures were at 2 bar all round and I found it slopped around a bit, I have put them up to correct book pressures, but just wondered if everyone was in agreement that this was OK.
Many thanks for the input chaps, much appreciated..!!

Mario's, would you go with those pressures on the 4200? I've been sitting at 2.2 all round but the tyres all scrub the inner edge fast.

Newton,
On my 42 I had the front at 2 Bar to 2.1 Bar and rears at 2 Bar, that's with 18" wheels..!! If you are scrubbing the inside edge, you need tracking done, or Castor / Camber setting..!!

I intend to get a full geo setup done in the spring as it scrubs all four on just the inside edge...
