GS Advice Gratefully Sought

I am now in the market for a GS and would be very grateful of any advice in relation to some of those currently advertised. There seem to be a few which have been loitering around for a while from a variety of dealers:

A few of the above have been around a while, is there something wrong with them?

Recent additions seem to be the one Nuvola have added

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-de...romSavedAds=true&advertising-location=at_cars ; and

I'm having a look at one owner car in Christchurch next week:

I have avoided some of the private ones, like the one in Battersea which has been on since last year and the price seems to go up and down.

Is anyone familiar with any of those listed above or provide some welcome advice to a would be owner.

Thank you.

The last one was for sale privately just two weeks ago for c£18k, the dealer has done nothing to it apart from add £7k to the price.

If you have to by from a dealer stick clear from the cars you have listed except the Nuvola one. His will be on the button, where as the others will be tired and ill-prepared.

A obvious option is the Battersea private one with an inspection. Low miles car and a decent price... or ask Richard Grace Cars to find one.

They’re great value, and seem to be the only used car that hasn’t gone up in value over the past few months (making them look even better value!)

Hi, I've had the Battersea car inspected if you want to pm me.

I’d be pretty confident that it was bought from me 7 years ago.
I very much doubt anyone will know anything about it other than this as it has been in his ownership for so long. Was mint back then.

it certainly looks that way in this pic, but then in others, it looks like it hasn’t. The only way to tell would be to stand in front of it. The internet is way to far away to be sure.

Looks like a hard line going up from the centre wheel arch. I know photos on the internet can give false impressions but that looks as though it’s had paint to me.

Or just the light coming from behind the car.

Can you see the line here?

When I bough my BMW 650 a few years ago to me at the time looked immaculate. A couple of weeks after when the sun was directly on the passenger door I could see what I would call a bulls eye. When the sun was off it you couldn’t see anything. Winter came and went and the next time the sun was on it it was 10 times worse to the point it looked I totally different shade. All I can think was the primer was bleeding through making it gradually look worse.

I wouldn’t let the fact it’ll have had paint put you off. It’s 14 years old, if it hadn’t had any paint it would probably be a right dog. Very seldom you’ll find a car with original paint at 5 years old, not to mention 14. Goes without saying that said paintwork should be good quality.

Back'i'th'day, when I were a lad, good advice for spotting paint defects was to look at the car under sodium street lights.

Another thing I blame the kids of today (Greta) for...pesky LEDs. ;)

Mine hasn’t. A few stone chips around the nose. I know it had some protection or other put on the car when it was new. Might get the car detailed this year, but looking at what the birds can do, maybe it’s shinny enough as it is....

Have you owned it from new?
