I've done a quick search on here but nothing matching what I am encountering (I think).
Only had my car since March and it's been going well (generally) but I am noticing the following;
- When it's raining (or has recently been) and the car is wet / damp, she makes squeaks and groans like the pensioner I will one day become!
- I can't hear it at speed, this is when in slow traffic (with or without brake pedal being feathered)
- It's very noticeable reversing off the drive with a bit of lock on - really sounds like some old timer of a car (it's a 2015 vehicle)!
- Turning the steering wheel also emits a squeak which sounds like it's inside the cabin (doesn't get louder if I drop the window)
- Once she's dry again, no groans! Normally one day of dry weather is enough to cure the noise.
Does anyone know what this is and the (hopefully not eye wateringly expensive) remedy? My own bit of reading seems to point at maybe silicone lube needed in the bushes (although don't know how to get to them without a ramp)?
