@Gazcw and I have managed to get hold of some replacement engine cover screws for the Granturismo and are looking at getting them Xylan coated.

Xylan is a PTFE based coating that is hard wearing and corrosion resistant, used a lot in the offshore industry for its self lubricating properties and for non-stick pans. An example of the coating is below.

We are going to get our bolts done after Le Mans, but it seems that the price stays the same for larger batches, so we thought we would throw it out to the forum. It’s currently about £2 a bolt so £46 a set. The more we get the lower the price will be.

The idea would be to remove all of the bolts from your car, send them to me and I will have the whole batch coated and send them back to you. We will also have a few spares so if you are missing some we can replace them at the cost we paid, about £3 a bolt.

I’ll put a list below, anyone who is up for add your name.

Are these the screws that hold the plastic covers on top of the engine? Is this just a cosmetic remedy?
