Hello! New member with a 2016 Maserati Grancabrio MC Shift..
23k Miles, lots of carbon on it (Evo Packs) & i absolutely LOVE it...
BUT.. it has some issues!! Owned since last summer but only recently made aware of this forum hence joined today!!
So i hardly use it (mainly for a few summer cruises around the chilterns) and its been sitting around on a trickle charger for a few months, which has highlighted some issues.
1. A rattle/rubbing noise coming from either the suspension or the roof. i have taken a video and hopefully you can see the video through this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UU6mzbAZM80hAnzOfELbrO7FZE1OyU8f/view?usp=share_link . Any help would be greatly appreciated.
2. Condensation in Boot: i will summarise what is going on to make easier reading:
- noticed when the weather got colder, not in summer (although car was driven more in summer)
- Car has been to Scuderia London where they checked for leaks and cleared drain holes which is under roof flap, not in boot. Problem still persists. unknown if there are drain holes in boot, any advice would be appreciated
- have read Chenders post about water in boot on his '11 GC and mine is not filling up like his.
- I have tried checking the rubber boot seal itself which goes around the rim, and even placed tissue paper all round it and tucked it into the creases and washed the entire car and it was completely dry!
- I have now stripped off the boot lid lining (as you can see in the pictures) and tried the tissue roll water test, of which no water seems to be getting through anywhere, and condensation is literally everywhere on the top of that boot lid.
- i have tried garaging the car and still condensation is a huge problem (left in a garage for 3 weeks and still mould building in the boot linings.
- I have tried putting car moisture traps of amazon in the boot, and they are getting full but condensation is building, and its building fast!!
- NO water is visible in the lower part of the boot, its all only at the top on the boot lid itself and mould builds in the corners closest to the wheel arches.
Please help if anyone has a resolution to this condensation problem, i cannot see anywhere where water is leaking into the boot and have tried garaging the car to see if it is rainwater which it appears not! Im literally pulling my hair out!
Hopefully the photos will help and thank you in advance for your responses!
