As a confirmed old cynic, I am somewhat surprised that people still get excited about F1. Lets be honest, it's been pretty boring for many years than I care to remember, and if Vettel romps away at the start it will turn many more people off the "sport". Personally, I only watched a tiny handful of races last year, and even then mainly highlight shows. KERS is a joke and the DRS simply gives a false perspective to the entire race.

If you want to see real racing as opposed to the procession that is F1, I suggest you Google or Youtube last years BSB final round from Brands Hatch. Championship went down to the last corner of the last lap of the last race.

But hey, lets not forget it's as good a way of catching 40 winks as anything.

Boring, yes, but it has its moments.

2011, whist in Le Mans having a BBQ at La Butte with the rest of the SM'ers, Button in the wet, drive of his life!

Not this w/end, it's next. I agree it has become something of a foregone conclusion looking at last year, but this year's changes will hopefully clean that ridiculous situation up. I am really miffed that it has mostly gone from the BBC apart from a few live races, I know we will get the old highlights, but live is best. I hate sky and think they are robbing so and so's, forcing you take channels you don't want and will never watch for a price. If I am forced to I will have to get it, as it is not on Freesat, or Freeview, which is annoying. It seems like blackmail, but we are left with little choice, unless you go out and find a bar with it on.

Rob, it will get streamed over the internet, that is for sure.

Ok the quality will not be that great but I bet you can get a descent feed from one of the overseas channels. Then I bet you can get the audio over the radio.

Saves giving your hard earned to Sky.

I had thought about that and wondered if we can link in to anything on Astra Satellite, my dish does not move, it's set, so if I can't find anything on the satellite I'm stuck with Bl**dy Sky. Our broadband is not brilliant due to us being out in the sticks, we only get around 2.4Gbps, which for some pictures is OK, others keep breaking up, which would fry my brain trying to watch F1.

Spend the money you save from paying Sky to get the dogs dangles of broadband connections. You like me are out in the sticks and you will be surprised what you can get if you are prepared to pay a bit extra. Even a 3g dongle might be the answer.

I am looking in to that at the moment Matt. I want 802.11n wireless indoors, which I have the start of and I am looking for another router/access point so that I can junk the old Orange box rubbish. Our land line is the issue on speed, we are at the end of the line from the exchange. We do not have any cable nearby, so I am not sure what I can do next to improve. I am goingto try vodafone and see if they can offer anything on the dongle route that's better.

Robert, what is the mobile signal strength where you live. A 3g unlimited wireless mobile hub might be the answer.

I don't think Kimi actually knows who he is driving for Renault, or Lotus? He says it's a Renault car and sponsored by Lotus, weird, or what?
Matt, I had not considered a mobile hub, that might be one way to go, cheers.
