So my car is nearly there now, I need to get some bolts for the front bumper as I seem to have lost them, so it's only held on with 2 bolts at the moment, and it's hitting on the inter cooler bracket which is bent, so I need to adjust that, also I have lost a head light bracket (I do tend to lose stuff ! Lol) also I have lost the shims that go between the front bumper and front panel, so I will have to see if I can find something to use instead maybe

Got new pollen filter to fit, scuttle, wipers, front grille and lights and wheel arch liners, think that's it! Should be done Tuesday/Wednesday, then got to get it mot and taxed, very exciting !

Standard bodywork, resprayed in Audi glacier white metallic (it was white before but more of a creamy white non metallic, now is more of an ice white colour )

It's surprising how paint can transform a car, you must be pleased with how it's come out

Love them in white. Also like the GS very tempting as mine is going to be re sprayed.
I don't think I'd do that really I love my color.

Yes some arsehole reversed into the side of my car.

Ouch!
If it's going to be an insurance job, remember the rear windscreen cannot be removed and refitted with a new seal, it's a new complete rear windscreen with new seal only £££.
Most body shops don't realise this.

I'll pass this info on thanks.

May I be cheeky and enquire as to a rough cost for the re-spray please and how long it took???

£2200, it would normally take about a week, but I had lots of issues, so it actually has taken over a year so far! But I have taken it slowly, as I'm a busy guy and time just goes too quickly!

Who is Marion??? MARLON asks.... tee hee
Don't worry, I have no intention of changing the colour as it certainly is a gorgeous colour and spectacular in direct sunlight. I had been considering a respray to try and put it back to an as-new a condition as possible but the cost, potential problems and therefore extended duration of the job that beau has encountered, have reinforced my decision to have it detailed instead. It goes in a couple of weeks for paint correction detailing, headlight polish and wheels resprayed; £650 all in but with completion in just 3 days, means I get to enjoy driving it looking and sounding amazing for just a few more weeks before it gets locked away in its yet-to-be-built custom 'house' for the winter.

Looking good though beau - nice job!

That seems very reasonable, Beau. Is that mate's rates?
