Ghibli wheels - any alternatives?

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the different 20" GT-S wheels will fit on a Ghibli?

As mentioned elsewhere, I don't like the stock 18" wheels on the Ghibli. But the 21" wheels I fancy are a staggering 3670 GBP option.
(Since you don't get the original wheels thrown in, that's probably not far off 5 grand Maserati are charging net for these wheels.)

I may still opt for them anyway, but I hate getting ripped off.

Cheers,
Pat

Best speak to someone like Dick Lovett ....... How much are the 20 inch ones as an option....I like them better than the 21 inch style.......

It won't be long before the tuners and wheel makers get things on the market for them. FD would be my guess for the wheels and if a chip-tuner can get the soot chucker up to 310-320bhp it will be a rip-snorter.

Yep I can ask DL, but there may be a sales spin to the answer, which is why I thought I would ask here first.

The 20" are 1960 GBP extra with VAT (so probably will retail for 3500).

The 20" still look too small to me. Maybe I should buy a Range Rover.

Surely there must be a deal to be done if you want the bigger wheels but bulk at the price..New car or not if a sale depends on it I'm sure the dealer could do something.

Yeah, good point - maybe I'll ask.

Without doubt.

Maserati are desperate to shift shed-loads of the Ghibli's. They don't want it to be a rare car. So I would imagine the dealers have some incentives to shift them out. Just negotiate your socks off. It's them who need you, not the other way round.

As for FD - if other wheels they already sell fit it, you'd be fine, but I cannot see them producing new wheels especially for the Ghibli for a good 6 months after release. Possibly longer. Where would the market be?

HRE will have a wheel as they are made to order and are stunning.....but............and its a big one Masersod....They will set you back much more than Maserati are asking....Without tyres I believe you are looking at £4000 at least....

Perhaps having a car that can be personalised may lead to an increased popularity and so the 'market' increases.

Dick Lovett were really helpful when I bought the Quattroporte wheels , they were able to do a deal and would expect no less if buying a car from them. They will be my first port of call.
