A quick reminder, especially to those not members of the Maserati Club GB, of the event at Prescott Hillclimb on June 9th. This is the club AGM and annual gathering, but any Ghibli will be welcome - entry/parking fee is £20. And a good selection of Ghibli Cup cars are already confirmed.

Further details can be found on the Maserati Club GB website (or from me).

That sounds good........Any gathering of Ghibli Cups is a sight to behold as far as I'm concerned.

Of the 21 UK Cups known to still exist, 10 have confirmed their attendance...

Should be a great day.

Thats a rare beast then these days....Remember seeing a French Blue one driving through Chepstow many years ago and I feel in love with it.

The Paris-Blue one is supposed to be unique- but I've just gone through Ewan's list and there's a couple of types of blue...

I think that the Blue Francia car is unique in terms if it being the only UK car in that colour but there are a few others in Europe in the same colour. I remember seeing the UK blue Francia Cup in Maranello's showroom in Egham in about 1998/1999.

Do you know what happened to the missing UK Cups? There were 26 imported as far as I know but I only know of 2 that had been written off, a Rosso Maserati car and a Giallo Ginestra car (I think that one hit some diesel and had an argument with a lamp post). I know one was stolen and burnt out a few years ago (a grigio silver car) but as far as I remember that was LHD so not counted in the 26.

There is indeed only one French Blue UK car. There are then 2 in Azzure Blue (a light silver/blue colour), and 4 in Blue Spaziale (a dark blue colour) of which mine is one.

As well as the two mentioned by Dicky, a silver car with blue interior is also thought to have been written off. And another couple appear to be missing in action, in terms of who currently owns them and their location.

One current owner has expressed an interest to sell, but it's not being advertised. If anyone's interested, send me a private message/email.

They certainly do have similarities, but with the Cup having over 100 bhp more, it's not surprising that it sits in my garage and not an Integrale. On most roads, in most conditions, the Cup is quicker. And on a dreadful road in dreadful conditions, I wouldn't want to drive fast anyway! Maserat 1 - Lancia 0.

In my office I have a list of all the UK Cups, along with colour/spec details, registration details and ownership histories. I'm only missing the current owners of 2 cars. I'd need to consult this list, but the chances are that I do have the details for the owner of that Cup.

I think the official name for that colour is Sprint Blue (but I'm not 100% certain of that).

The official name is "blu francia" (French Blue), Sprint Blue is a Fiat colour.

What colour is the Cup that may be up for sale?

About five or more years ago the blue car (I thought it was Paris blue but hey ho)was in Classic Car Mag with a number plate of DIIDRA or similar. I'm going to have to find the wretched mag now. Hope to get to the event. My wheels are being refurbished at the moment and its taking a long time but will press them.
Best wishes for the BH to all - I'm off to the test down the road
