£100k for a Ghibli?

If it's anything like the QP GTS I'd let somebody foot the bill for a brand new one and then grab it a year later for a fraction of the price. The MD I use sold one to a 'serial car-changer' for £122k. 6 months later he sold it to an independent dealer for £60k - ouch!

Always best for that sort of car but I guess the number V8 QPs they sell will be tiny at £30k more than the V6.

MAF tells me that the engine in the QP V8TT is something else.

I wonder if they will put it in the new GranTurismo Strad?

Then Maserati would have my attention!

It will be interesting to see how much they are prepared to invest in the current GranTurismo. With the infomatics meant to be being updated soon you do wonder whether the new V8 will make it's way in with the 8 speed ZF. If so it will be a sign that the new GT is a fair bit off.

HROwen always know have to photograph a car for their adverts......just looks lovely.......Remember the mixed reactions to the Ghibli but time is being very kind to it...It is a great looking car.
It is a car that's growing on me I never liked it at first.

So whats the main dealer mark up on these then...Thought Ferrari /Maserati MD operate on a £10k mark up making the aforementioned car a 28k trade in?

Or more likely end of lease or their own Co cars being shifted on.

Well that's the big debate as these cars are cheaper than what they normally retail and you cannot apply the traditional business model as it does not work. If you go to the likes of Audi then the trade/retail spread on a £30k car is about £5k gross so that would be my guess as to where it will settle.

Agreed. Most of these cars will be dealer order or demo cars, so no trade in values to consider - I'd be very surprised to see any reasonable mileage Ghibli trade at sub-£30k. They will have bought the early cars at a healthy price/discount from Maserati to get them into the market. I know that they can easily get a QP or very high spec petrol Ghibli at significant discounts from the manufacturer.
