Full decat

Hello,

Does anyone have tried a full decat (the two cat removed).

I assume there is the engine light on after. Is there any impact on the engine, mix not correct, default mode for the calculator etc..

I wanted to remove all the cat and install the full Larini decat, but....

Hi Superkart78 and welcome. Matt (Conaero) ran full decats on his GS without incident (well apart from the bleeding eardrums). Sure he'll be along before too long and can give you more details.........

Yes Parisien it's for a 4200

There is some maser in Paris, but I don't find any club or group.

I own mine since one years and think it's really a great car and crazy engine, but to have even more I try to upgrade power and remove weight a bit.

Weight the target is: exhaust, seats, wheels, brakes, carbon parts?...near 100kgrs may be possible

engine: intake (intake manifold is poorly realised, already done), air intake try to create a carbon one, ecu?? exhaust and as a graal rotrex compressor, does anybody try a solution like this?.

I didnot see many modification on the mas

Hi Superkart I did indeed run the full Larini de cat along with Loz and SimonM.

I ran it for about 2 days and it was too much so both simon and myself had Larini fit free flow silencers in place of the cats and that was perfect. We ran Larini de cats, Larini H centre section and Larini valved back boxes and it was the best money I ever spent. When I sold my car I removed the exhaust and sold it and got my money back.

If you can afford to do it, do it, best money I ever spent.

Why not go for a performance up-grade DMS (extra 30-50BHP after), far easier and handier? Plus lowering the suspension and up-grading the same will make the car handle far better and effectively be quicker?!

If its noise you want, why not just change out the rears silencers, easy to do , quite noisy, very cost effective ( about £600) and quite a bit lighter!

Matt ,

If I understand your configuration was :

Sport Larini decat + H center+ rear valves back boxes

Does it makes a difference with a full decat in term of performance and does the sound was ok?

Matt has a video up of the noise his Larinis made.......plus they were valved so he could mute the noise......allegedly with just the H section, improves the flow and therefore output!
