There's a new colour called blu sofisticato (**** name) that looks even better. Think a lot of press pics for 2013MY are in this colour:

I'll have the lady with it too;)

My local dealer had one just like this in the showroom, looks bloody amazing, it has a light grey interior, the new seats are also lovely.I think the de-tangoed headlights are a big improvement, still hate the front parking sensors though.

Nareman (Nuvola) had the four-seat Stradale built himself. I haven't spoken to him direct but was chatting with the dealer which does all his servicing.

I'll try and get some more details and pass them on.

Interesting. I'd be interested to know more about this too. Someone posted about it on PH, asking what would happen re insurance is its a 2 seater car with 4 seats. I had no idea that might be a problem!

I'd be interested to know if its was done at the factory (did Nareman order new?) or retro? if it was a big job, if it was costly, if there are implications re adding two more seats etc. I'm guessing its a case of 'strip out what there, fit in the GT rears....trim them up, add belts, and "Robert's your mavva's bravva".

Hello, first post and I must congratulate you all on what appears to be a very informative and friendly forum!
I have had contact with Nuvola about this car.It was converted by themselves, not the factory, around a month ago, using the original fixing points for seats/belts etc.Unfortunately, due to the first couple of insurers I contacted only having listings for two seat Stradales, possible MOT implications and any potential buyer in the future having the same concerns as me come resale time, I decided not to pursue it further.
It looks like I will be going back to my orginal plan of a GTs MC shift with maybe the Stradale software!

I imagine an insurer such as Churchill/admiral wouldn't touch it, but a specialist like Competiton Car would be fine.As for MOT, as long as the seatbelts are secure and work correctly then I doubt there would be any issues, I'd be more surprised if the tester actually knew that it originally only had 2 seats.

Welcome SJC.....Great info there and as most of us thought its aftermarket...I will say it looks very good but as with any 2 seater thats been type approved it would not be looked at as being legal at MOT........Shame as its crying out for 4 seats..

This is what interests me. 1) how would your average MOT tester know? 2) if it needed changing, how would you do it?

I'm genuinely interested. Had a moment of dreaming yesterday and actually thought a 4-seat MC Strad would be a cracking sunday car. Lovely. But not if its a pain in the b-hind to insure/MOT etc. Shirley there's a way to get it approved? With Nuvola being well thought of, surely they've looked into this and possibly already addressed it?

Hi SJC, welcome.

As Woody said I'd be amazed if Nareman hadn't thought through the insurance implications - he is incredibly meticulous. Did you discuss with him? I suppose the answer to the usual "any mods?" question is yup, two extra seats.. and that's the point when the insurers turned tail and fled, right? Maybe worth giving A-Plan a call as they're pretty sensible and don't work only on a "computer says yes / no" basis.

A Victory Blu Strad with black interior and four seats would be perfect *sigh*

Edit - PS, the GTS MC shift is wonderful. Have you tried one on yet?

I'm not *sure* that matters, but it's been a long time since I looked at the issues around that kind of stuff ;)
Pretty sure that Nuvola will have thought of this, though.

I remember a conversation on Piston heads about sletter from someone wanting to put rear seats in a 911 GT3....Someone posted up a letter..Can not remember if it was from Porsche or a legal department but it was clear that the car was type approved as 2 seater and as such if you would not be able to insure the car.....Thats if you told them of course......

I'm pretty sure you can get away with it as who would know and as said the MOT station would not pick this up I would imagine....
