I suppose that's true. Volume predictions are still small. IIRC it's 2000 Ghiblis' pa cf 300-400 GranTurismos so we won't see many of them around.

Agreed Andy. Will be interesting to see how other reviews average out the verdict. However, as a 5 series/XF rival, there's a danger that it may not tick enough buyers' boxes..

Mot well informed as he mentioned how if ou have a Maserati ou ma not make it to your destination.......Maybe in the Bi Turbo years but not any more......Thats the sort of comment that sticks in the punters who do not know any different mind...

Agree Dem, ver colour sensitive.....Look at some and doesn't do anything for me and look at other colours and I think it isn't to bad....SOme nice styling on the car to be honest and a more pleasing shape that the QP.

It's an atrocious thing, but as Greypaul have invited me to the local launch I'll pop along to see it in the flesh.

I thought the same Miles when I first clapped eyes on it but I am warming to it....I think seeing it in gthe flesh will be the decider....The EVO video started to make me look at it differently.

No you may well be right Andy. When I pop up to GP I'll take it out for a quick run and I'm sure I'll warm to it also......well when I say warm to it I mean warm my hands on it as I torch it. :D

I was lucky enough to take a peek at good wood on Friday - it was on the press area (why?). Still managed to blag my way in with a flash of the key....

I have to say it was very nice indeed. Rear leg room is very limited but boot space is great. Front cabin looked great, they've gone with the same dash as the new Quattroporte, simple but informative. It works really well, especially when you look at the old Quattroporte and then look at the new one, much better IMO, far less cluttered with a multitude of buttons. Very well made too, as good as my 320d at first glance.

Id certainly buy one.... Or have one as a company car.

We're there a selection of colours. I do not like the shape of the grill but I wonder if it will blend in on black or dark blue cars? Ditto all the confusing lines on the boot.

I quite like it too and assume it must be DMS tuneable given the turbos....and them developing a programme....never mind the S cos their price will be cheaper and probably eek out as much lary power in 2wd.

Cheers Wattie

Maserati UK seem to be rolling out a big launch. Just got an invite for a local viewing of the Ghibli at the end of July - there isn't a dealer nearby but they are putting one on display at a local golf club (I guess they feel that is a match for the target demographic - personally I wouldn't know one end of a golf bat from another :) ) . I'm assuming no driving will be possible but at least we can have a poke and play with the controls....
